Professional Computer Repair in Twin Falls
Total Techs handles computer repair for individuals and small businesses across the Magic Valley. From slow laptops to dead desktops, hardware failures to virus cleanup, we diagnose and repair PCs at our 238 Blue Lakes Blvd shop or on-site for businesses.
Real Computer Repair, Real Local Shop
Computer repair sounds simple but rarely is. The hard part isn’t fixing the broken part — it’s correctly diagnosing what’s actually wrong. Plenty of “computer repair” places replace parts on a hunch and charge for it. We diagnose first, then quote, then repair. So you don’t pay for parts your computer didn’t actually need.
Bring your computer to our shop at 238 Blue Lakes Blvd in Twin Falls, or for businesses, we’ll come to you. We work on desktops, laptops, servers, gaming PCs, and small-office workstations. Windows, Mac, and Linux. Newer machines and older ones (within reason).
Important note for businesses: If you have more than a handful of computers, ongoing computer issues, or any IT support needs beyond simple repairs — please look at our managed IT services instead. Computer repair is great for one-off fixes, but it’s an expensive way to support an entire business’s IT. Managed IT prevents most repairs from being needed.

What You Get
Desktop Repair
Slow desktops, failing hard drives, power supply issues, cooling problems, motherboard failures. We diagnose and repair desktops at our shop or at your business.
Laptop Repair
Cracked screens, dead keyboards, faulty trackpads, charging problems, hinge repairs, water damage assessment. Most laptop issues are repairable; we’ll tell you when they’re not.
Virus & Malware Removal
Modern malware is sophisticated — antivirus alone often doesn’t catch it. We do thorough cleanup, identify how it got in, and help you prevent re-infection.
Data Recovery
If your drive has failed but the data is precious, we attempt recovery. Sometimes successful, sometimes not — but we’ll be honest about chances before charging for the attempt.
OS & Software Issues
Windows that won’t boot, slow performance after updates, blue screens, application crashes. Many software issues can be resolved without expensive hardware replacement.
Small Server Support
Small business servers — Windows Server, file servers, line-of-business application servers. For larger or critical server work, our managed IT services are typically a better fit.

Common Questions
QShould our business use computer repair or managed IT?
For most businesses with more than 5-10 computers and any meaningful IT dependence, managed IT is a much better value than ad-hoc computer repair. Managed IT prevents most repairs by keeping systems updated, monitored, and patched. It also covers helpdesk, security, M365, and backup — not just hardware breakage.
QHow much does computer repair cost?
Depends on the issue. Simple software repairs (virus cleanup, OS reinstall) typically run a few hundred dollars. Hardware repairs vary by part — laptop screens, keyboards, power supplies, hard drives. We always quote before we work.
QHow long do repairs take?
Most repairs are completed in 1-5 business days. Hardware repairs depend on part availability — we often have common parts in stock. Major repairs (motherboard, data recovery) can take longer.
QDo you do data recovery from dead hard drives?
We do logical data recovery (recovering data from drives that boot but have corrupted file systems). For physical drive failures (clicking, not spinning up), we send to specialty recovery labs — expensive but sometimes worth it for irreplaceable data.
QWhat about new computer setup?
Yes — we can set up new computers, migrate data from old computers, install software, and configure for your environment. Often combined with disposal of the old computer (which we do securely).
QDo you sell computers?
We can broker new computers — Dell, HP, Lenovo — and configure them for you. For businesses, this is often part of our managed IT service. For one-off purchases, we’ll tell you honestly when you’re better off buying directly from the manufacturer.
