Modern Cloud-Based Business Phones

VoIP replaced traditional phone lines for businesses that pay attention to the technology. Instead of dedicated copper phone lines running to a PBX in a closet, VoIP routes calls through your internet connection to a cloud-hosted phone system. Cheaper, more flexible, more features.

For end users, the experience is largely the same: pick up a desk phone, dial a number, talk. What changes is everything underneath. The “phone system” is now in the cloud — no on-site server to maintain. Each user can have a desk phone, a mobile app on their phone, and a softphone on their computer — all tied to the same extension. Calls follow them wherever they are.

For businesses, the benefits add up: lower monthly costs (especially for multi-location), no maintenance contracts on old PBX equipment, easy to add or remove users, instant updates and new features, integrations with CRM and other business software.

Our Process

How It Works

01

Network Check

Before quoting VoIP, we test your internet and network to make sure they can handle voice traffic. If not, we recommend network improvements first.

02

System Design

Choose phone platform, design call flows, select phone hardware, plan user accounts. Written proposal with everything itemized.

03

Number Porting

Port your existing phone numbers to the VoIP platform. Takes 5-10 business days. Old phones keep working until cutover.

04

Install & Train

Deploy desk phones, configure mobile apps, train users. Cutover happens at a scheduled time — minimal downtime.

FAQ

Common Questions

QWhat do we need for VoIP to work well?

A reliable business internet connection with enough bandwidth for your call volume (rough estimate: 100 Kbps per concurrent call). A network properly configured with QoS to prioritize voice traffic. Quality VoIP phones (we provide). For mission-critical phone use, a backup internet connection is a smart investment.

QWhat’s the difference between VoIP and hosted PBX?

VoIP is the technology — voice over IP networks. Hosted PBX is one architecture — the phone system itself lives in the cloud rather than on a server in your closet. Most modern business VoIP is hosted PBX. There are also on-premise VoIP options (system at your location, calls over internet), but cloud is the standard now.

QCan VoIP do 911?

Yes, but with caveats. VoIP 911 (called E911) works but requires registered service addresses. When you call 911 from a desk phone, it should connect to the right local dispatch with your registered address. Mobile app 911 typically connects via the phone’s cellular service. We configure E911 properly during setup.

QWhat about call quality issues?

Modern VoIP quality is excellent on a properly configured network. Quality problems are almost always traced to network issues — insufficient bandwidth, lack of QoS, problems with the local cabling, or older switches. We assess and fix network issues as part of VoIP deployment.

QCan we keep our existing PBX phones?

Sometimes — older IP phones (especially Cisco, Polycom, Yealink) can sometimes be reconfigured for new VoIP platforms. Older digital or analog PBX phones cannot transition. In most cases, replacing phones makes more sense — modern phones are inexpensive and provide much better user experience.
